Introduction

VEA Legacy Aviation (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a South African-based private aviation company and a proud division of the VEA Group. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled lawfully, transparently, and securely in accordance with:

  • The Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), and
  • where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for clients residing in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or other international territories.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or booking a flight, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. All services are provided under South African law, regulated by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA), and operate in compliance with international aviation standards.

Scope of Services

VEA Legacy Aviation provides:

    • Private jet and helicopter charter services
    • Safari lodge and destination transfers
    • Corporate and group charters
    • Concierge and lifestyle management
    • Membership and loyalty programmes


All flights are subject to aircraft availability, weather, and operational clearance.

Bookings, Payments & Confirmations

  • Quotes are valid for 72 hours.
  • A booking is confirmed upon receipt of written acceptance and required payment.
  • Full payment is due before departure unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Invoices are issued in South African Rand (ZAR) or in foreign currency for international clients as applicable.

Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations less than 72 hours before departure may incur full charges.
  • Refunds, if applicable, exclude administrative or processing fees.
  • Weather, airspace restrictions, or regulatory delays constitute force majeure and will be rebooked where possible.

Passenger Responsibilities

Passengers must:

  • Provide accurate information for manifests and visas.
  • Carry valid passports, visas, and identification.
  • Comply with baggage and safety regulations.
  • Follow all crew instructions during flight and ground operations.

Liability & Indemnity

While every measure is taken to ensure safety, VEA Legacy Aviation is not liable for any loss, damage, delay, or injury arising from causes beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to weather, airspace restrictions, or regulatory action. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the charter in question.

Insurance

VEA Legacy Aviation carries comprehensive public liability and aviation insurance compliant with SACAA requirements. Passengers are encouraged to obtain personal travel insurance.

Membership Programmes

Membership privileges (Founding Client, Legacy Traveller tiers) are governed by their respective programme terms. Benefits are non-transferable and subject to availability.

International Clients

For international travellers, all bookings are processed through our South African entity. Applicable consumer protection, tax, and liability laws remain those of the Republic of South Africa. Currency conversions are for convenience only and final charges are based on confirmed exchange rates at the time of payment.

Intellectual Property

All website content, brand names, photographs, and materials are the property of VEA Legacy Aviation and VEA Group. No content may be reproduced without written consent.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any dispute will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Western Cape High Court, without prejudice to the right of international clients to pursue remedies under their own consumer laws where applicable.
